Ikshvaku dynasty - History of Madhya Pradesh
- This dynasty was established in the name of Ikshvaka, the son of Manu. Whose rule was in Dandakaranya.
- The majestic king Mandhata of this dynasty sent his son Purukuts to help the Naga kings of central India. (against the Gandharvas)
- Nag Kumari (Narmada) was married to Purukuts.
- Muchukand of this dynasty established the city of Mandhata (Omkareshwar) in the name of ancestor Mandhata on the banks of river Narmada between the Riksha and Paripata ranges.
