Solution -

Sachin bought 1.5 kg fresh grapes

The ratio of water is to pulp = 4 : 1

Water = 4/5

Pulp = 1/5

So,

Water in fresh grapes = (4/5)1.5

= 1.2 kg

Pulp in fresh grapes = (1/5)1.5

= 0.3 kg 

After being crushed,

The ratio of water is to pulp is 3 : 2

Water = 3/5

Pulp = 2/5

Let,

The amount of water waste = w

A/C

1.2 - w = 3/5 (1.5 - w)

1.2 –w = 0.9 - 0.6w

0.4w = 0.3

w = 0.3/0.4

w = 0.75 kg

Therefore,

The amount of water waste is 0.75 kg.

Hence,

The correct answer is option (c) 0.75 kg.
