Seventh Constitutional Amendment Act, 1956

The amended provisions of the Constitution through the Seventh Constitutional Amendment-

 

1. Abolition of four classes of states; For example, 14 states and six union territories were approved in place of Part-A, Part-B, Part-C and Part-D.

 

2.Extension of jurisdiction of High Courts in Union Territories.

 

3. Establishment of a collective court between two or more states.

 

4. Arrangement for the appointment of Additional Judge and Executive Judge in the High Court.
