Seventy-sixth Constitutional Amendment, 1994
The amended provisions of the Constitution through the 76th Constitutional Amendment-
The Tamil Nadu Reservation Act, 1994 (which provides for 69 percent reservation to educational institutions and state services in the state) was added to the Ninth Schedule for protection from judicial review. In 1992, the Supreme Court ruled that the total reservation should not exceed 50 percent.
