Ques - The speeds of rickshaw, car and scooter are in the ratio of 3 : 5 : 6. What is the ratio of time taken by each one of them for the same distance ?

Solution -
Speed is always inversely proportional to time,
So,
S ∝ (1/t)
Therefore,
Ratio of speeds of rickshaw, car and scooter = 3 : 5 : 6
so,
Ratio of times takes =(1/3) : (1/5) : (1/6)
Now,
Take the L.C.M of 3,5,6 = 30
Time taken by rickshaw = (1/3) × 30
= 10
Time taken by car = (1/5) × 30
= 6
Time taken by scooter = (1/6) × 30
= 5
Thus,
The ratio of time taken by each one of them for the same distance is 10 : 6 : 5.
