Road transport
- The share of road traffic in the total traffic in Uttarakhand is more than 85%, out of the total road transport, 80 percent is private vehicles.
- The Garhwal Motor Owners Union Limited, Garhwal Motor Users Co-Operative Transport Society Limited, Tehri Garhwal Motor Owners Union Limited, Kumau Motor Owners Union Limited, Marginal Cooperative Union, etc.
- Garhwal Motor Honors Union Limited was established in 1941 at Kotdwar (Pauri). It also has an office in Rishikesh.
- Kumaon Motor Honors Union Limited was established in 1939 in Kathgodam. Its office is at Ramnagar and Tanakpur.
Rail transport
- Rail transport facility is available in 6 districts (Haridwar, Dehradun, Pauri, Udham Singh Nagar, Nainital, and Champawat) in Uttarakhand.
- Haridwar is the district with the maximum rail track.
- The first railway line of the state is from Kathgodam to Kichha which is serving since 1884.
