A = B - 40%
C = 40% × (A + B)
Let,
B = 100
A/C
A = 100 - 40
A = 60
C = 40% × (A + B)
C = 40/100 × (60 + 100)
C = 40/100 × (160)
C = 64
Difference b/w A and B = 100 - 60
= 40
The difference between A and B is what percentage of C = (40 /64 * 100)
= 62.5
