Ques - A spends 24% on domestic expenditure, 16% on entertainment 12% on education and saves the remaining. If saving is Rs. 3288 then what will be monthly income of A? (SSC CPO 2018, 14.03.2019 Shift-2)

SOlution - A spends on domestic expenditure = 24%
A spends on entertainment = 16%
A spends on education = 12%
Total expenditure = 24% + 16% + 12%
= 52%
therefore,
Total saving = 100% - 52%
= 48%

A's saving = 3288
48% = 3288
1% = 3288/48
1% = 68.5
so,
100% = 6850
Hence,
A's monthly income is (d) 6850.
