Ques - Divide Rs. 6940 in such a way that A gets (2/3)rd of what B gets and B gets (3/5)th of what C gets? What is the share of A and B together ?

Solution -
Total Rupees = 6940
A = (2/3)B
A : B = 2 : 3
B = (3/5)C
B : C = 3 : 5
Therefore,
A : B : C = 2 : 3 : 5
(A + B) : C = (2 + 3) : 5
(A + B) : C = 5 : 5
(A + B) : C = 1 : 1
Share of (A + B) = (1/2) × 6940
Share of (A + B) = 3470
Therefore,
The share of A and B together is Rs. 3470.
