Divisions and Districts of Madhya Pradesh

  • There are total eight districts in Jabalpur division. It is the largest division in area. The headquarter of this division is Jabalpur. Dindori was again included in Jabalpur division in 2012 .
  • Indore division is the largest division in terms of population. Its headquarter is Indore. It has total 8 districts.
  • Bhopal is the headquarters of the Bhopal division. There are total 5 districts in this division .
  • Gwalior is the headquarters of Gwalior division. There are 5 districts in this division .
  • The headquarters of Rewa division is Rewa. There are 4 districts in this division .
  • The headquarters of Ujjain division is Ujjain. There are 7 districts in this division .
  • The headquarter of Sagar division is Sagar. There are 6 districts in this division .
  • Morena is the headquarters of Chambal division. It comes under 3 districts.
  • The headquarter of Narmadapuram division is Hoshangabad. Hoshangabad division was renamed as Narmadapuram in August 2008 . Along with this, Betul district was also included in Narmadapuram division.
  • The headquarters of Shahdol division is Shahdol. Shahdol division was formed on 14 June 2008 . There are 3 districts in this division .
