What is employment?

Employment is that activity carried out by a person in order to be paid. In this way, the word employment encompasses all that trade, occupation, activity, or work performed that produces an economic benefit as a result of it.

It should be clarified that not in all situations this process is developed in this way: in certain scenarios, an individual can carry out his work, trade, or activity, and that it produces an economic profit, without the need to be linked to an employer. In other words, they can execute said activity completely independently.

Jobs can be carried out formally, under the command of the public administration, abiding by all laws and being regulated by a legal entity; or, on the contrary, informally, keeping hidden from the public administration, within an environment of illegality and informal market, either due to tax evasion or other factors.
