Ques - Titan sells a wrist watch to a wholeseler making a profit of 10%. The wholesaler, in turn, sells it to the retailer making a profit of 10%. A customer purchases it by paying Rs. 990. Thus the profit of retailer is 2(3/11) . What is the cost incured by the Titan to produce it ?

Solution -
Let,
CP of wrist watch = X (110/100) (110/100) (1125/1100)
990 = X × 1.1 × 1.1 × (1125/1100)
990 = X (1.2375)
X = 990 / 1.2375
X = 800
Therefore,
The cost price of Titan watch is 800.
Hence,
The correct answer is option (c) 800.
