Vedic Period - History of Madhya Pradesh
- Beginning with the arrival of the Aryans in India
- Vedic civilization was founded by Aryans (1500-1000 BC)
- Aryans after settling in Punjab entered other places
- A clan of Yadavas also settled in this area.
- Later came Atri, Parashara, Bharadwaj, and Bhargava.
- According to the Aitareya Brahmin text in the later Vedic civilization (1000-600 BC), the Nishad caste lived in the dense forests of Vindhyachal.
- One of the 10 sons of Manu (Vaivasvat), Karush founded the Karush dynasty (Baghelkhand).
- Chandravansh (Ailvansh) - Manu's daughter Ila was married to Soma and the Ailvansh was established.
- Soma (Purukha/Puruva) had sons Ayu and Amavas.
- Som rule was in Bundelkhand.
- Ayu's sons were perfect. Who divided his kingdom among 5 sons. Son Yadu got Charmanavati (Chambal), Vetravati (Betwa), and Shukmati (Ken) river valley area. Yadav dynasty was established in the name of Yadu.
