Let,
The CP of article = x
Shopkeeper reduces the selling price from 1080 to 1026 its loss increases by 4 percentage point.
1080 - 1026 = (4/100)x
54 = 0.04x
x = 54 / (0.04)
x = 1350
Thus,
CP of a article = 1350
SP of a article = 1350 × (104/100)
= 1350 × 1.04
= 1,404
Hence,
The correct answer is option (b) Rs. 1404.
